As your doula, I’m by your side every step of the way.
Birth can be unpredictable – but your support doesn’t have to be. You’ll receive:
When we work together, you’ll feel heard, held and empowered—however your birth unfolds.
Imagine this…

So, what does working with me look like?
As your birth doula, I’ll be there for you during pregnancy – usually visiting you at least twice before the big day. This helps us build a real connection so I can understand your hopes, any worries, and what kind of birth experience you’re dreaming of. It means I can tailor my support to fit you – whether that’s helping you feel more confident, sharing helpful info, or just being there when you need a friendly face.
I’ll be on call for you 24/7 from 38 weeks (and I’ll do my best to get there early if baby decides to make a surprise appearance before then). Once labour starts and you call me in, I’ll be with you and your birth partner – supporting both of you through every contraction, all the way until a couple of hours after baby is born. I’m not there to replace your partner, but to support them too, so they can focus on being the best support to you.
My role is all about helping you feel safe, informed, and emotionally cared for – whether you’re planning a home birth, hospital birth, water birth, or anything in between. And whatever path your birth takes, I’ll be right there beside you.

After baby arrives…
Once your little one is here, I won’t rush off. I’ll stay until you’re comfy, confident, and settled.
If you choose to breastfeed, I’m also a trained Breastfeeding Counsellor, which means I can help you get started with confidence.
When you’re ready for some space and snuggles, I’ll leave you to it – but I’ll be back soon for a postnatal visit to check in, chat about the birth, and offer support as you settle into parenthood.
A bit about my experience
Over the last 12 years, I have supported all kinds of births as a Doula (more than 140): vaginal, water births, inductions, home and hospital births (including delivery units and birth centres), caesareans, VBACs, twins, breech babies, assisted deliveries, births after loss and high risk pregnancies for a myriad of reasons. Whatever your path looks like, I’ll walk it with you.

Frequently asked questions about doula services
Why hire a doula?
The benefits of Doula support are backed by research. These benefits have been recognised by the World Health Organisation:
Mothers using a labour doula were likely to have an easier and faster labour, needed fewer interventions and develop closer bonds with their babies.’
Mothers using a doula were:
50% less likely to need a caesarean section
40% less likely to need forceps delivery
60% less likely to ask for an epidural
Labour was an average of 25% shorter
After the birth, mothers were more likely to breastfeed and less likely to suffer from postnatal depression’
Birth and the early days of parenting can be powerful, beautiful…and intense. You deserve someone who’s trained, grounded and by your side, from start to finish.
