Birth can be unpredictable – but your support doesn’t have to be.

I’m here to support, empower, and walk alongside you through one of life’s most powerful journeys: pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood! My aim is to help you feel calm, confident, knowledgable and connected – from bump to baby.

Hi, I’m Letty

I’m a birth doula, hypnobirthing instructor, antenatal teacher and breastfeeding counsellor.

I’ve supported hundreds of families through all kinds of births and feeding journeys – at home, in hospital, in water, with twins, after loss, via caesarean, VBAC, HBAC, breech, induction and everything in between.

My services cover Cambridgeshire, Essex, Suffolk and Hertfordshire.

You might be wondering…

The benefits of Doula support are backed by research. These benefits have been recognised by the World Health Organisation:

‘Mothers using a labour doula were likely to have an easier and faster labour, needed fewer interventions and develop closer bonds with their babies.
They are 50% less likely to need a caesarean section, 40% less likely to need forceps delivery, 60% less likely to ask for an epidural. Labour is an average 25% shorter.
After the birth, mothers were more likely to breastfeed and less likely to suffer from postnatal depression.’

You can start your antenatal education journey anytime during your pregnancy, but I recommend you start my workshops some time after your 20 week scan. The earlier you start the more time you have to mentally, physically and practically prepare. If you would prefer to wait until later in your pregnancy, then I would recommend completing your antenatal workshops by the time you are 35 weeks.

If you have only just found out about Blown Away Birthing and are later in pregnancy, then don’t worry, it’s not too late and I always try my best to accommodate you and if necessary, fast-track you through my sessions.

As a trained Breastfeeding Counsellor, I’m here to help with:
Positioning and attachment
Nipple pain or damage
Concerns about milk supply
Expressing and storing milk
Combination feeding or transitioning to or away from Formula
Bottle refusal or bottle feeding technique
Feeding twins or multiples
Feeding after a difficult birth
Weaning off breastfeeding (gently, when you’re ready)
